    Buying Power in backtesting NT8

I am loading NT8 strategy using Sim101 account on to a chart and to see the historical trades

Have a couple of questions about this:

    1. When looking at the Accounts tab, I see that the CashValue is $100,000 buy Buying Power is 0 - is that expected?
    2. When loading the strategy on the chart, the historical trades execute though the Buying Power is 0. I would expect since the BP is 0 that the trades get rejected so thinking I am missing something?

    Hello onnb1,

    Thank you for your note.

Buying power for the sim account is by default 0, however you can use the cash value to calculate your available cash to trade. Use cash value.

Those historical trades are the chart are what the strategy would have executed had it been running. Its ability to trade was using the cash value.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
