    Order rejected-reason: Cannot cancel the field order affected Order

    Hi everyone,

    My strategy has a condition to close all the position at certain point. Also the sync and immediately submit option is enabled in the strategy. It is connected with Gateway to Interactive broker.
    After my strategy closed all the 76 shares buy positions by ExitShort(); with opening buy order for 76 shares.
    Then this error Occurred:
    Order rejected-reason: Cannot cancel the field order affected Order: Buy to cover 76 Market
    Then another Buy order has been submitted and executed for 76 shares.
    I had to close them all manually.
    Question is why it happens? to prevent it in future.
    If the logs and traces are needed I can provide them.

    Any comment would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your post.

    We would want to see the log and trace files to note exactly what the strategy did to encounter the rejection.

    Could you send me a message at platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with the text "Attn Jim" and when this happened so I can look into this further?

    Steps for finding and attaching log and trace are included below.
    • Open Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to Documents > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to our support email address.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
