stop orders - where do they reside?

    Hi

Suppose I have an unmanaged order placement (SubmitOrderUnmanaged) that uses OrderType.StopMarket and I happen to use IB.

In case, I have an outage, e.g. power outage, or internet outage. Where does the order resides - at my local machine, or with IB?

    Thanks

    Hello uday12,

    Thanks for your post.

Orders that reach an Accepted or Working state will either be at the exchange or on Interactive Brokers servers if the exchange does not support that specific order type. This behavior is the same for manual orders as well as automated orders using the Managed Approach or Unmanaged Approach.

Below is a link to our documentation page on where orders reside.
