How do I make a strategy based on the color of a candle of a indicator?

so buy and sell not based on HLOC prices but based on the color of the bar on a indicator so if indicator paints bar orange sell and if pink buy? Can i do this on a strategy builder?

    Hello rickyblah12,

    Thanks for your post.

You would need to recreate in the strategy the conditions of the indicator that are coloring the candles. There is no means to detect the color of the bars.
If the indicator is a 3rd party purchased, you may want to check with the vendor to see if they provide a signal that can be used/accessed in a strategy.

        Hello rickyblah12,

        Thanks for your reply.

I am not aware of any documented/supported means to accomplish your goal of reading a candle color that has been painted by an indicator.

It may be possible but would be outside of our level of support.

You could do it so that you have set parameters for if you want to buy/sell, and then set it so that if those parameters are met, the candle is a certain color. This seems kind of arbitrary though, not to mention a lot of work. You could just decide what indicators would make your candle a "sell" color, and just look at those before deciding to buy? I think this would cumulatively take a lot less time than trying to set up a specific "buy" or "sell" color!
