    BarsSinceExitExecution()

    Hi,
    I want to prevent my strategy to take a trade in the same bar where it exited, so I created the following criteria (as per attachment). If the variable is true, the strategy is OK to place a trade.
    Just so that I am 100% sure about how BarsSinceExitExecution() works....: If it returns a 0, it means that there was an exit right in the current bar. If it returns a 1, that means that the bar in which the strategy exited is closed and the next one is printing. Am I Correct?

    Thanks for clarification!
    B.

    Hello Balage0922,

    Yes, you are correct. When BarsSinceExitExecution() returns a 0, this is the bar the exit occurred on. Returning a 1 is the bar after the exit.

    A way to find this information would be to print in OnOrderUpdate() when the order exits, and then in OnBarUpdate() print the value of BarsSinceExitExecution().

    Alternatively, if the script is running with Calculate as .OnEachTick or .OnPriceChange, you can prevent a new action until a new bar with IsFirstTickOfBar.
