Hello tonynt,
Thanks for your post.
When NinjaTrader runs the compiler, every source code script is included at the time. From the help guide (link below), "NinjaTrader will compile ALL NinjaScript files NOT only the file you are working on." They do not need to be open in the editor to be compiled. Any error in any file would be noted in the opened file in the editor.

Save(new)-Compile
Hello,
with additional dataseries and using volumetric one needs to add exactly the dataseries and the instrument, so one need to have a proper script for each instrument. Therefore when doing changes one needs to do not in one script but in every script. My question is now when changing something in the script needs every script to be compiled or are all "open" scripts (visible below in tabs) are compiled when compiling in once script.
