Strategy Analyzer Symbols
What symbol should be used with the analyzer - the current expiration or a different symbol? I remember in NT7 there was a special symbol - something like ES###-### which was supposed to be used with the analyzer. Is it the same in NT8 and where do I find that symbol? ThanksTags: None

Hello JerryA, thanks for your post.
In NinjaTrader 8 the Merge Policy is used to tie contracts together. So if you choose the latest ES contract that is trading, all the previous contracts will be backfilled up to how long your backtest runs. If your data feed provides continuous contracts (e.g. ES ##-##) then you can use those as well.
Kind regards.Chris L.NinjaTrader Customer Service
