    Add ATM in "Alerts"

    Hello,

I would like to add an ATM strategy in the Strategy Builder. As it is currently not possible, since the developers do not implement this option in NT8 updates, I wanted to ask you if it would have the same effect to execute the strategy from the "Alerts" function, since there if you can add an ATM. You would have to copy manually all the "Conditions" of the Strategy Builder to the "Alerts" configurator. Would this be possible? Would it work the same as if you were setting up an ATM in Strategy Builder?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Greetings from Spain

Hello Rober182, thanks for your post.

If you set an order to execute from an alert it will not use the selected ATM strategy in ChartTrader. Currently to use an ATM strategy in NinjaScript a strategy must be written in the NinjaScript editor. NinjaTrader does have an example of how to use an ATM in NinjaScript titled "SampleAtmStrategy".

Please let me know if I can assist any further.

      Hi ChrisL,

Thanks for your answer. Specifically, I was not referring to the ATM strategy in ChartTrader but to the ATM strategy that you can configure within "Alerts", option "Actions" option "Submit an order". This option was added in version 8.0.18.1 "Added the ability to submit an ATM order on Alert´s Actions"

      Thanks and regards

Hi Rober182, thanks for your reply and thanks for pointing that out.

In this case, then you would manually copy the entry conditions you made in the builder to the alert condition menu. The only difference is you need to have any indicators you wish to use in the condition also applied to your chart. Multiple sets of conditions will also not be available while using an alert to do this.

        Kind regards,

        -ChrisL
