    EnterLong(), EnterShort() orders not executing

    Hello,

    I created a blank strategy script with a simple EnterLong() / EnterShort order and never buy or sell a position.

    If I put EnterLongLimit() / EnterShortLimit it works well.

    Any help?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Hello Kediux,

    Are there any error messages appearing in the Log tab of the Control Center or in the NinjaScript Output window?

    Can you post the script so I may test this?

    To export a NinjaTrader 8 NinjaScript do the following:
    1. Click Tools -> Export -> NinjaScript...
    2. Click the 'add' link -> check the box(es) for the script(s) you want to include
    3. Click the 'Export' button
    4. Enter a unique name for the file in the value for 'File name:'
    5. Choose a save location -> click Save
    6. Click OK to clear the export location message

    By default your exported file will be in the following location:
    • (My) Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/ExportNinjaScript/<export_file_name.zip>

        Hello Kediux,

        I am finding this script does place an order after the 20th bar. It will also place an order at the start of a new session after the exit on session close closes the position.

        Below is a link to a video that demonstrates.

            Hello,

            It doesn't work in my platform, strategy is always in yellow.

            Why?

              Hello Kediux,

              The yellow means that the strategy is working and has placed an order in historical data and has a historical position. Once the historical position is closed, the strategy will turn green on the strategies tab of the Control Center.

              This also shows that the strategy has placed an order in the historical data.

              Below is a link to a forum post where I've discussed a yellow strategy.
