Question for PaulH.... TSSuperTrend

Paul, or to whom it may concern...

I downloaded TSSupertrend from the User Apps. You posted a note that says:"SMMA and Adaptive mode not yet available"...

I like using the ATR indicator in my Strategies, but it dosen't work too well if at all with Range bars.. and the TSSupertrend uses the ATR..

My question is, will this indicator still work on Range Bars..??

I'm not sure what you mean by "but it doesn't work too well if at all with Range bars". I've applied this indicator to range bars and it does appear to work as expected. This was a conversion of an existing indicator made by a third party, so we didn't actually create it, just convert it. There are also two other "supertrend" versions one dated 4/2/2019 that you might want to investigate on the User App Share if this one doesn't seem to function to your liking.

What I mean't was the ATR indicator when used in minutes charts oscillates smoothly from 20 to 80.. In a Range bar chart it is a jagged horizontal line.. and dosent't vary much at all... Is this normal..??

The only other Supertrend I have is the AuSupertrendU11 that came with the complete collection of AU Indicators (NT8), dated April ist. 2019...

Thank you for your reply.

The ATR is not an oscillator. The ATR produces the range of the bar and does not range between 20 & 80.

The other SuperTrend you've already got would be my other suggestion if this one does not meet your needs.

Refer to the attached images.. Compare the ATR in the Minute Chart vs. the ATR in the Range Chart...

This would be expected due to differences between minute bars and range bars - the ATR on minute bars would be expected to vary much more than on range bars. It is my understanding that the TSSuperTrend does work as expected on range bars.
