    Strategy running on SIM account disables without info being written to Log

    Hi,

    I have a custom unmanaged approach strategy running on the SIM account.

    At times, it disables, but there is no information in the Log as to why this might have happened.

    The only related Log entry is "Disabling NinjaScript strategy '[Strategy Name] / [ a long number ]'".

    Do you have any suggestions how I might go about gathering more info as to why it might be disabling?

    Does this also occur when testing the SampleMACrossOver included with NinjaTrader?

    Are there are any disconnections occurring?

    Are there any errors in the Log tab of the Control Center?

      No, it doesn't.

      No, not according to the log. And other strategies running at the same time do not disable.

      The only related statement appearing in the log tab is: "Disabling NinjaScript strategy '[Strategy Name] / [ a long number ]'"..
      There is nothing else relating to the disable as far as I can see.

        Hello AnotherTrader,

        Does the strategy call CloseStrategy() in the code?


        Can you reproduce this in Playback with Market Replay data at high speed?

        May I test the script on my end? (Preferably a reduced version that removes all code that can be removed while the behavior can still be reproduced?)

        To export a NinjaTrader 8 NinjaScript so this can be shared and imported by the recipient do the following:
        1. Click Tools -> Export -> NinjaScript...
        2. Click the 'add' link -> check the box(es) for the script(s) and reference(s) you want to include
        3. Click the 'Export' button
        4. Enter a unique name for the file in the value for 'File name:'
        5. Choose a save location -> click Save
        6. Click OK to clear the export location message
        By default your exported file will be in the following location:
        • (My) Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/ExportNinjaScript/<export_file_name.zip>
