I built a strategy with trade signals and it skips and or misses some of the signals. What causes this to happen?

This could be due to violating the internal order handling rules.

Use prints and TraceOrders to understand the behavior.

Have you followed the videos in the post I have linked?

Are you following the steps to add prints in the strategy builder from the video?

You would need to save the output from the prints in the output window to a text file and then post the text file with your reply.

Sorry but there is no way I know what to do. I would need to watch these videos a couple of hundred times to figure it out.

Watch the video that adds prints using the Strategy Builder several times.

Start with a simple print that prints the time of the bar.

What are the values in the condition that leads to the order action?

I am looking for info, videos or any material on setting up multiple orders in SB. Enter, initial stop, exit 1 and trail remainder.

I have 3 strategys running on separate sim accounts but the profit and loss doesn't show in the assigned sim account it shows on the main sim account all combined. How do I get the P$L to show in each sim account the strategy is assigned too?

Thanks for your replies.

Please post a screenshot of your Strategies tab that shows the three strategies and their assigned accounts and also a screenshot of your account gtab that shows all three accounts.

Regarding, "When a strategy is running in an assigned sim account the profit or loss is not showing in the chart trader?" Is the chart trader connect to the same sim account?

Regarding, "Can you provide any info on how to attach a trailing stop to an indicator in a strategy in strategy builder?" In the Strategy Builder, in a set you could check to ensure that you are in a position, and if so you can place an exit stop limit type order at the value of the indicator.

How can I save a strategy to a zip file so it can be shared?

Hello JTizz,

To export a NinjaTrader 8 NinjaScript so this can be shared and imported by the recipient do the following:

1. Click Tools -> Export -> NinjaScript...
2. Click the 'add' link -> check the box(es) for the script(s) and reference(s) you want to include
3. Click the 'Export' button
4. Enter a unique name for the file in the value for 'File name:'
5. Choose a save location -> click Save
6. Click OK to clear the export location message

By default your exported file will be in the following location:

• (My) Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/ExportNinjaScript/<export_file_name.zip>
