Order Rejection - Programmatic

My programmatic orders are being rejected by Ameritrade. While the TIF setting on ChartTrader is DAY, it seems the programmatic orders are going as GTC, and are being rejected per the log massages. How do I enforce that the TIF to be set to "DAY" ?
