Optimize Data Series - cannot use it as parameter for the Graph

    1. Turn Optimize Data Series to On. This essentially makes the data series interval e.g. 1,2,3etc minutes into an Optimization Parameter.
    2. Run optimization.
    3. Go to Optimization Graph. You cannot select Data Series Value (interval) as a Parameter to display the graph.

For example, I have one parameter for SMA period and another parameter Optimize Data Series - On. I should be able to view a 3D chart showing relationship of SMA period on one axis and Data Series Interval as second axis. But I cannot. I still can see only a 2D chart.

Hi rktrade, thanks for your question.

I will need to add a feature request to add the data series parameter to the optimization graph. Only NinjaScript properties added to the script are being listed currently.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

      Hi!

Why hasn't this happened? It's being a long time, and it's quite obvious the relevance it has.
Does it require major changes to the strategy optimization code?

      Add my vote pls.

      Thanks!

        Hello DonMiguelo,

        Thanks for your notes.

I have added your vote to this feature request.

We do not have any updates on this feature request at this time.

Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black-and-white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:
        • Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
        • Feasibility
        • Developer bandwidth
        • Current projects in the queue
        • Economics

You'll find a note regarding your feature request in the release notes when a feature is implemented.
