Stop Loss kicks strategy out (sometimes)

My strategy starts off with a stop loss a few bars back from the entry point and that works well.
When the trade goes a certain amount of ticks into profit, the stop loss is moved to break even
Depending on market conditions - the stop loss is sometimes set above market price which throws error messages and disables the strategy.
Is there a way (perhaps with a try catch) to avoid this and allow the strategy to recover without disabling the strategy?

    Thanks

    Hello abiffmaster,

    Thank you for your post.

Yes, you can set the strategy's RealtimeErrorHandling to StopCancelCloseIgnoreRejects and catch the order rejection and instead submit a market order to close the position or handle it otherwise if you like.

You can take a look at the example below that places a stop to the wrong side of the market so it will get rejected, then traps that rejection and handles it by closing the position with a market order.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.
