Additional space above and below Price

A Chart Trader's dilemma:

If a market is running up and a if a trader wants to put an order above the current market, it is very cumbersome for them to place the order using Chart Trader as there is no real room on the chart to put the order.

Many charting packages today offer the ability for a trader to configure the amount of space above and below price in order to alleviate this problem.

Attached is the configuration utility in TradeStation.

Can this functionality be added to the next build of NinjaTrader?

Thank you for your suggestion.

This is on the list of future considerations.

As a workaround, you can add transparent constant lines above and below the chart prices and set auto scale to true.

Thanks for the workaround suggestion.

I tried applying the Constant Line indicator that comes with Ninja but nothing seems to plot.

I tried different values for Line1Value but to no avail.

Am I doing something incorrectly or do I need to create an indicator?

If so, might you have some sample code that I can reference?
