    Bug in NT 8 IDE

    To reproduce the bug:
    1) Open Visual Studio from NT ide
    2) Open a script in NT8 IDE and start to modify (until it will show asterisk * symbol over the script name in the bottom, meaning that changes are not saved)
    3) Compile/save file in VS (to cause the NT IDE compilation automatically).
    4) when NT ide starts compiling (the animation of compiling), try to close the opened (unsaved) file.
    5) NT will Freeze and becomes non-responsive.

    Hello TazoTodua,

    Thank you for reporting.

To confirm, you have to close a script while the compilation is in progress, is this correct?

I will test this and I will let you know what I find.

      Hello TazoTodua,

I've been testing this using 8.0.18.1 but I am not able to reproduce.

Below is a link to a video of one of the tests.

Am I taking all of the steps you have suggested?

        Hi Chelsea, let me revise.
During indicator development, i have to kill NT (with Task manager) several times a day, when I make some UI actions while NT ide is during compilation process.
Hard to reproduce exactly, but numerous other cases, like trying to open/change any window, while it is being recompiling or ...
well, when I have some fixed and reproducable steps, i will repost...
        many thanks

No, you are not doing the same steps i described.
          once again:
open script for editing in NT ide. make any minor change (to become the script titled with asterisk, meaning that there is "unsaved changes").
open VS and there open or save anything.
return to NT ide, and the script you have with asterisk in title (unsaved changes), try to close, while NT ide is in the recompilation process.

            Hello TazoTodua,

I did start editing the script in Visual Studio in the video I have provided. The asterisk did appear on the tab for the file being edited.
However, are you saying that I need to modify the script in the NinjaScript Editor window and not save it?

If not, what steps are the steps I have taken incorrectly?
