Testing/using NT7..tried downloading heiken ashi smoothedbar indicator but import showing failure error...Also, in 6.5, you have just regular heiken ashi bars (up/down color of one's choosing and no smoothing), can the regular heiken ashi bars be part of the NT7 library also since I use a stoistric for timing? Thanks!

Hello bugman4/u,
Thank you for your post.
Yes, HeikenAshi bars are available within NinjaTrader 7. Please right mouse click within your chart-->Data Series and HeikenAshi may be selected from the Type drop down.
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Heikin Ashi bars
Does NT7 have Heikin Ashi bars? I am new to NT and evaluating it. I was somewhat surprised that it was not a standard option... I really like the HA bars in TOS (thinkorswim) and would like to see the same here on NT. The reason I am looking at NT is because of its automatic trading capabilities with various brokerages...

Hello,
I added the HeikenAshi to my chart and tried to do an entry with simple reversalbar, following what I read in the forum:
..............
&& HeikenAshi().HAClose[2] < HeikenAshi().HAOpen[2]
&& HeikenAshi().HAClose[1] > HeikenAshi().HAOpen[1] )
But there is no entry with an upbar after downbar.
What I´m doing wrong?
Thank you
Tony

Hello,
Based on your snippet, it looks like it should work as you expect. I recommend doing a bit of debugging (using Prints) to check the values of each of these plots just prior to your order-entry logic. This way, you will be able to see if anything is not working as expected in the underlying values that you are testing.
After debugging this way, do the values line up as they should?Dave I.NinjaTrader Product Management
