    Default Data Feed Suggestions....

The Instrument manager should be populated with all Yahoo symbols, Indices and ETF's (not just the 700 common ones). Having to add them in one-by-one is tedious to say the least, and was one of my biggest stumbling points when I started.

Even in NT7 - creating a list to import is a bit strange. (unless I'm not understanding how to use it)

I've heard rumors/suggestions of (but not found the answer to) having a list (like an XML or CSV list) of symbols that can be shared amongst each other, or better yet, maintained by NT. A list that can be upgraded/maintained from a remote centralized server is a great idea as well.

    ---
Another suggestion is to simply have NT be a free (or cheap - $25/month) historical feed provider, with premium upgrade options to real-time. This would remove the need for a Yahoo feed. It's one of the best integration points that I loved about TeleCharts

    Just suggestions.

    Hello tazatek,

    Thank you for your post.

Both of your suggestions have been forwarded to development for consideration going forward. I wish I had more information to offer regarding them, but we will take both of them very seriously.

One thing you can do for Yahoo is within a chart if you start typing a symbol you can view the symbol even if it is not added to the database. This process will automatically add the instrument to the database.
