NinjaScript Editor Bug

If I have an Indicator open for editing and I press Alt+F4 to close it NinjaTrader crashes to desktop. It doesn't seem to crash if I am editing a Strategy though.

I can't reproduce this.

- Can you reproduce each time?
- A system indicator or custom indicator?
- Can you reproduce with NO other windows open except the NinjaScript Editor?

Hmm yes I can readily reproduce this without fail on my laptop. It crashes for only custom indicators. I noticed this when the only window open was Control Center and the NinjaScript Editor. I tested this on my desktop with the same indicators, but they don't crash there. Odd.

This is the error message "NinjaTrader application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The logs don't mention anything though.

Although I usually don't use alt-F4 to close a script, I get the same error message.

I'm in touch with the provider of the editor component to see what's going wrong there. I'll keep you posted.

I get this one a lot too. This one happens sporadically as I try to compile my code.

I would need a reproducible scenario on order to analyze:
- step by step guidance to cause this
- zipped NinjaScript directory <my documents>/bin/Custom

This is going to be another elusive bug. I don't know a step by step procedure to reproduce it. I know it happens when I compile my indicators/strategies after some editing. It seems to happen both when I have errors in my code and when my code is compilable. If I hit "continue" instead of "quit" it returns to the NinjaScript editor, but I need to close it and reopen the editor before I can compile my code. If I hit "Quit" my NinjaTrader shuts down.

I'll send you my custom folder via email when I get home later.

Do you have "Instant syntax check" checked?

This bug will be fixed with next release (available soon). Thanks for bringing this up.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I found it a bit annoying.
Normally when you have a NinjaScript open and you close it either by Alt+F4 or clicking the X at the top it remembers the window size and the next time you open the script it uses the same size. If you minimize the NinjaScript and then proceed to close it by right clicking on it in the taskbar and then selecting close it does not remember the window size. The next time you open the file it opens in a tiny window that always requires you to resize before any work can be done.
