    Heeelp! Can't launch nt 6.5 and nt 7

    Hello,

    An automatic software update by Microsoft seems to have caused a conflict with all versions of NinjaTrader, which I can't even open now.

    Attached below the error messages I have got.

    URGENT help required please!

    Hi,

    Can you please send an email with your trace attached to support at ninjatrader dot com and refer to this post.

    You can find your trace under Start menu--> (My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Trace--> trace.20100813.txt. (attach this file).

    We will then be able to investigate and provide a solution.

      Hi Vincent,

      Thanks, but no trace file have been left for today as the application could not even start. It "crashed" before it even started, if that makes sense.

      Find attached trace folders for both versions.

      I am exploring the Microsoft Help files to see how to fix the problem with that update which seems to have caused this problem.

      Annoyingly, this issue only seems to be affecting NinjaTrader programmes (I have both 6.5 production and 7 beta versions installed, and none of them can't start). Internet Explorer and eSignal, among others, are working without a problem.

        Information of this event should be listed and you can get to the trace file without actually going into the software. It's in a folder on your computer. You need to attach this to an email and send it to support.

        You can find the trace under Start menu--> (My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Trace--> trace.20100813.txt. Please see if you can find it.

          Vincent,

          I understand that you need to gp through hundreds of posts at the same time, but please do pay a little bit more attention to what is being written and attached to them.

          In my previous post I added two pictures of the My Documents folder to show that the trace folders of both versions of NinjaTrader were not containing any files for today.

            I apologise. Was trying to reply to quickly.

            This is weird, I will have someone from Level II follow up a little bit later. Can you send in a note to support refering to this post and we'll follow up from there.
