Suggestion and Question

Hi,

One feature I would love to see in the editor: Visual Studio like information as to which method you are in. Often I do a find to locate some code but then have to scroll upto determine which method I am in.

I write strategies for a prop firm and some are very complicated and quite large (thousands of lines of code); the above suggestion would really help me.

The question is probably covered in a dozen places but I can't seem to find it in the forum, hence my question. How do you search for a phrase? No matter what I try, I end up getting any post with any of the words in the phrase.

Rather than sift though 100s of posts (to see what I mean, try searching for something generic in the phrase) trying to determine if a given post is revelant to my question, I normally just give up and post a new question.

I suspect there is a clear way to do this, I just can't find it.

Hi,
To search for a phrase, placing the group of words under quotes may help.

Further, in advanced search, it may be possible to have the option 'Any of the words' / 'All the words'.

If the option is 'Any of the words', left most key words may have some priority to be placed on top. A weightage of 1,2,4,8,16 etc to each key word from right to left and the sum total weightage against each thread to be computed and the threads may be sorted on decreasing weightage.

As all the threads are small and the number of threads are more, searching is a very cumbersome job. I experience the same difficulty as expressed by ScottB.

But does the technology behind the forum have a provision for this feature?

Alas, if only it were so. I have tried the quotes to no avail and although many forums have the search options you mention, this one does not.

ATM Parameter optimizer

I think one off the easiest way improve trading results if you add atm parameter optimizer.

Example, export trade entries from performance tab to csv file
or just enter text file trade entries, and optimizer search best parameters for those trades.

???

I think this kind of optimizer is possible create like strategy. and then it can use built in genetic optimizer.

Scott, I believe you could put " " around your phrase to search for? Another alternative would be using google to search only the NT support forum.

Price Labels for Horizontal Lines

New user here.. love the product!!!

A fundamental feature for me is having a price label on a horizontal line I lay across the chart... you have labels for the fib retracements, but no option for a label on an 'F6' horizontal line.

Any plans?
