Compilation errors

Hello,

When I'm trying to compile an indicator code I'm getting a lot of errors in the NT7 stochastic files (DoubleStochastic, Stochastic, StochasticFast). Even if I leave just an automatically generated code in the indicator the problem still exists. I didn't touch any stochastic files and it's a fresh installation. What can be a problem? It happens on both NT7 R1 and R2 releases.

Thanks for reporting this.

Please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling the indicator. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies- not just one.

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
• Select an indicator and double click on it.
• A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
• At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations.
• From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it.

This is exactly what I was doing. I'm getting a bunch of errors in the NINJATRADER code. I didn't even start to write my own code yet - just generated the indicator template from the wizard. The standard implementations of NT7 stochastic indicators don't compile. Why would I remove or debug your code?

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
