Market replay upload not overwrite existing?

I have had market replay record on for a while. Sometimes I am loged in and get the entire day of data, sometimes I am not.

On 2/16/2011 I did not get the entire day of data.

I thus turned off market replay record and attempted to use File/utilties/download-replay-data to obtain the date 2/16/2011 for just the ZB-3-11 bonds futures market. Note I do trade more futures than just ZB. On any given day I have the CL, ZB,6E and ES markets on charts.

In using the Market Data download feature, the system appeard as if it obtained the data as I watched the status message in the lower right hand corner of the control center as this process worked.

But, when I went into replay, the chart which is in 7/24 mode started at just a few minutes before the open of the stockmarket at 9:30 EST. I was expecting to see the entire 24 hours of data for 2/16/2011 starting at 0:01 AM....on the 16th.

I've read a lot of help files, threads and forums on this but can not find any answers...

How is this supposed to work?

    Hi tulanch,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please go to My Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db > data and then for the folder for February 16th can you please clarify when the ZB file was last modified, and if that matches the time when downloaded.

In testing this issue I have download the data for the 24 hour window, and would recommend that you remove the data from the folder mentioned above for the ZB contract and then re-download the data.

I deleted the file and then did a re-download. I then for the hell of it did a reload history. After both of these actions this issue was resolved.

I also looked at another folder/date and verified the system is updating the files as expected, meaning the date modified changes on download...

Maybe it was the reload history.... the data in question ( 2-16-2011) was already in the chart as I have it set to hold 5 days of data....

      weird....but it's working now....

      thanks!
