7.0.1000.8 Range Bar problem
After installing 7.0.1000.8 last night, I noticed some of the Range Bars on my charts today were incorrect. The example posted is a 1/12 CL 7 Range chart. You can see numerous bars with wicks on both ends. I also exposed the OHLC data for one of the bars which shows an open and close 4 ticks apart. I reloaded my historical data just to be sure nothing was messed up there. I have the same issue on different instruments and range bars sizes also.Tags: None

This has been confirmend and addressed in an updated installer for R8 - please follow the steps below to fix your local install :
1. Uninstall R8 via Windows Control Panel
2. Clear your browser history and redownload R8 from our website - http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php
3. Reinstall R8
4. Open your NT7
5. Recompile NinjaScript's via Tools>Edit NinjaScript>Indicator, select any file, press F5 to compile
6. Restart NT7 fresh
7. Open a new range chart >> it should be displaying properly now.
If you would after those steps still see issues, please contact me directly via support at ninjatrader dot com and reference this thread.

Other issue with Range Bars
Hi,
I have a different issue with opening up charts with Range Bars specified. The chart has no historical data at all and starts the first bar upon opening the chart. I am new to Ninja and this forum, so please excuse me if there is a simple solution to this issue. I am running off IB data and I checked that the connection, etc. was fine. converting to minute/daily charts brings up the charts with no issues.
Thanks,
Bill

Hello Bill,
Unfortunately this is as expected. Historical tick data is not supported with IB in NinjaTrader. Range data is build by tick data, so you will only receive real-time data.
If you enable 'Save chart data as historical' at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab, you will save all real-time data you receive in charts so you can build historical tick data.JasonNinjaTrader Customer Service

As per NinjaTrader 7, our preferred market data service is Kinetick. Real time service starts as low as $50 per month. If you trade CME Globex products, you can have these exchange fees waived if you have a qualified brokerage account. This service is only available for NinjaTrader 7. Please visit www.kinetick.com for more detailed information.JasonNinjaTrader Customer Service

Bill...let me chime in here on the TS question (I don't expect that Jason will want to nor be able to "compare" the TS feed). I was a TS trader and left (fled is a more accurate word...) them for NT and a new broker.
There are numerous TS discussion threads about live data chokes (as I called them) that are still unresolved. The inside TS techs are aware of the issues and have no solution for these data delays and chokes. When you are a DayTrader, watching your charting/trading platform sit and spin on a daily basis at times of volume inflow, while you are looking to enter a trade or, worst case scenario, you are trying to exit a trade is not at all comforting.
I currently have "free" real-time and historic rithmic data feed through the broker and have been happy as could be about the switch. I know IB may be a little less expensive in commissions but I did not like the interface to NT and the fact that they did not have access to historic data.
Oh and by the way, TS does not participate in any of the rebate programs so you are paying monthly for the joy of questionable data.
Of course, YMMV...
All the best to you!
