    Dynamic super DOM bug??

    Hello,

I think of noticed a bug in the dynamic super DOM. As you can
see the offer prices overlap the bids.

I was running a market replay action of NQ.

    Please see attachment..

    Thanks,

    Satnam..

Was this market replay data downloaded from our servers?

What date(s) are you replaying here?

The data was market replay of 15/12/11 at around 00.28 uk london time last week and yes it was from your servers. I went to file>utils>download replay data and selected file>connect>market replay connection.

        Hello,

Thanks for reporting - I am able to duplicate this on my end using newly downloaded replay data. This would indicate that there is an issue with the level II data for this market on that data.

I am checking in with development on this item and will update this thread once I have more information.

          Hello There,

I have noticed this bug again today on the NQ. Do you have any updates on this?

          Thanks,

          Satnam.

I don't know if this is related - but with ES and recorded 24x7 data,
after about 3 days of replay, the BUY/SELL amounts disappear. blank. the Price shows with (qty).

              at 500x replay speed

This happens in 7.1000.8 or whatever in xp pro 32 bit and vista home prem 32 bit

OK - make that after ALMOST a day - it starts jumping around and acting goofy (still some buy /sells, but the price was way out of the buy/sell range at 4 am).

after pausing and resuming at a normal speed - the buy/sells are not changing, just the price.

so it's even faster than 3 days.. I started at 9:30 am, and it's 4:30:00am and the buy/sells stopped updating.

                Sledge,

                Thanks for reporting

Can you please go to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\ and right click on the folder named "data" and select "Properties"

What is this data folder size reported to be?

                    Hello,

This is a very large amount of replay data.

Can you please try moving old replay dates you do not need to a temporary location and restart NinjaTrader. Please try getting this down to as little data as you realistically need at one time. Should you need the other replay data at a later date, you can always move this data back in at that time. Once you have reduced the size of this folder, please test again and let me know if you see the same behavior.

That reminds me - is there any sort of user interface planned to allow for better management of historical and replay data? It seems odd to have to go into a system folder to manually delete files or hunt for holes in my replay data.

For that matter, I wish NinjaTrader would have a setting to cause all of its data to be stored on some other drive/partition than C. I prefer to use my C partition only for holding installed software, not for storing dynamic stuff like databases or works in progress.

                        Hello anachronist,

Both of these items are being looked in to by development though there's not currently any word as to if or when the changes would be implemented. We do appreciate the feedback however.
