    Data Manager Needed

    Hi Guys,

    Could you please allocate the job of "Data Manager" to someone for a few months.

    There are a large number of holes in the Symbol and Exchange mapping for some of the data-feeds (e.g. Wheat and Soybeans from eSignal).

    Also, a few of the tick values are wrong and need to be corrected.

    Thanks for your note.

    I will forward your feedback to development.

    You can however edit the instrument manager and enter the esignal code for the instruments in the Symbol Mapping section to append the data.
    • In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Instrument Manager
    • In the Instrument manager dialog search the instrument and click on the Edit button
    • In the Instrument Editor dialog click on the Misc tab
    • Scroll down and in the Symbol mapping section append the proper esignal symbol for the instrument.

      Thanks for your response.
      Yes, I am familiar with the mapping and I have been doing a lot of symbol mapping which has prompted my suggestion. For example, I put in
      XRB for RBOB Gasoline
      EMF for EMF
      TF for ER2 and
      JB|SGX to get them to work for eSignal.

      Also, by putting on a "DataManager" then that person can feed back to Development what a pain it is to do this. Also, that it is quite confusing when we can't see whether the Exchange symbol has been mapped or not, or what it is being mapped as.

      It would be handy if we could see a final symbol requests that NT is making to the data-feeds so we could actually diagnose if the issue is with NT or the feed.

      Anyway, I'll leave it with you. I still have lots of issues to sort out and I think some of them are with eSignal. I just wish NT would show me more to help me pin point the issues.
