    Performance tab Excel output

The Ninja Trader Executions excel file gets named "NinjaTrader Executions - MM_DD_YYYY.xls".

The date format really should be 'YYYY_MM_DD'. This is nit-picky, but this allows a sort of the excel files accumulated in a file folder by filename that will leave the files in the correct chronological order.

MM_DD_YYYY is clearly not the best sort order of Date for long term Ninja Trader users. For those users, all files generated in January will be grouped together when sorted by filename regardless of year.

Have been thinking about that, but it's debatable.

Reason: Right now these timestamps (date + time) on those files go by local PC settings. Most US customers probably would be surprised to not see the date and (time!) format they are used but e.g. the international 24 hours settings to ensure proper sorting.

      No.

I understand that many US customers aren't used to international settings. But, IMHO, Ninja Trader needs to create files with a format that, when sorted by filename, will provide a chronological sort.

IMO, there is no good reason not to do this.

Think about it... In 1-2 years, your customers will be happy that you took the right decision. If you don't do it, it will be a hassle for everyone.

Take the decision to do this in a world-class way.

          Thanks.

I know I'm a pain in the you know what. But I love Ninja Trader and want to use it for years into the future and want my files named to accomodate that.

Thanks again. You guys are awesome.
