Strategy templates cause performance problem

Hi,

Strategy template is a good feature which I found a few days ago, but cause a performance gap when you use it. I mean the "Set Default For .." feature from Strategy Analyzer, if you right click mouse button on the Property Panel on the right side.

I have only about 20 templates saved right now and I can see that NinjaTrader freeze for an extra cca 5 seconds when I recompile my strategies. It looks like NinjaTrader is trying to rebuild this templates anytime I do recompile. So this makes this feature unusable for me, because when I develop my strategies I recompile codes frequently.

To reproduce this freeze, you need to have Strategy Analyzer opened while recompile strategies.

Hi Cameron,

I already saw these previews and can't wait till' NT 8 release and I know there will be many performance optimization. So actually I'm only curious if also issue I reported is already included in the optimizations for NT 8, because if not, than it should be considered to optimize too.

Since the Backtest and Optimization are closely related they should share similar functions, especially regarding templates used.

I'll let our Development Team know of this thread and your suggestions.
