These are:
- price DataSerie(s) (Time(s), Open(s), High(s), Low(s), Close(s), Volume(s));
- DrawingObjects (Lines, Rays, Rectangles, Triangles, etc.);
- indicators DataSerie(s) (calculated set(s) of coordinates);
- display mechanism, that show in window all DataSeries and DrawingObjects.
I suggest to make possible to save to file all DataSeries and DrawingObjects of any chart.
And make new NT window (named ChartPlayer, for example), that can load saved DataSeries and DrawingObjects from file and show them in chart-like window.
ChartPlayer can have full interactivity: scrolling, zooming, adding indicators, showing DataBox.
This can be interactive analogue of screenshot.
Where it can be used?
1) By peoples that are not NT users now.
To use previously saved ChartPlayer file they have just install NT and make double click on ChartPlayer file in explorer. No need to load price data, no need to setup connection to data provider, no need to read any manuals at all - just some mouse clicks. Grate start for nubies. Instant demonstration of NT benefits and extremely convenience.
2) By indicators sellers from NT eco-system.
I like new indicators. But on most sites I can see only some small screenshots. To see new indicator on my side I have to go through the tedious procedure of registration, download indicator, install it and... some times to do something else.
March more convenient to download ChartPlayer files, that contains fairly long history (and not contain any indicator code(!) - only calculated DataSeries).
3) By all comunity as advanced screenshots.
Screenshot is very-very small and haven't any interactivity.
ChartPlayer can have unlimited history and full interactivity.
On screenshot I guess difference in functionality between chart and ChartPlayer.
IMHO.
