New Ninja Zoom Tool...

Looking at the new Ctrl+Z zoom tool this morning ...not that impressed with this....screen shot below...
The problem with this is the white area inside the circle
surrounding the cross hair obscures the chart as you hover over an area....and the cross hair is too fat....the graphics on this could definitely be improved.

A better way to do this would be to have a clean circle without the white area inside so one could see the chart inside the circle & also with a clean narrow cross hair inside so one could precisely locate the tool where desired on the chart.

Maybe take a look at the zoom tool in Tradestation...with the TS tool can locate the tool cross hair with precision on the chart.

You are using NinjaTrader 6.5, correct? The Zoom feature in NinjaTrader 7 and the cross hair have been improved visually from 6.5.

Patrick....am using NT 7 version 16,

Perhaps the zoom tool chart location precision is not that critical...??

Thank you for your response.

After testing this appears to be the Zoom icon for Windows XP. In Windows 7 the Zoom icon resembles the attached jpeg.

For the cross hair, there is currently no method to change the width. I will send both of these items to our development team.

We would not be able to update the zoom icon n the Windows XP OS. Your suggestion for the cross hair has been inserted into our tracking system with the unique ID # 198.
