Instrument Manager Listing
NT7 instrument list is a couple of simple steps - Tools > Instrument manager. I cannot figure out how to develop the list (particularly for continually changing futures contracts. Is there a tutorial already developed and is it possible to make it simpler in the final version. Thank you.Tags: None

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
To develop your default instrument list you will want to start by ensuring the correct instruments for your needs are included.
First make sure the Default list is selected from the drop down to the left. If you would like to remove any existing instruments from the list simply click to highlight them and click on the '>' arrow to remove.
Next, we will want to add your specific instruments, enter the instrument symbol in the 'Name' field and click 'Search'. Once you find the instrument click to highlight and use the '<' arrow to add it to your list.
To make a continuous contract you would do the same as above, however, before clicking the '<' to add you will want to change the expiry (located on the bottom of the screen above the cancel button) to ##-##. This is the NinjaTrader symbol for continuous contracts.
After you have made the desired changes click 'OK' and your list will be updated.
Please let us know if we may assist further.Justin S.NinjaTrader Customer Service
