Cant restore files "would corrupt your installation"

Hi, i had to do a format and fresh windows install, i first created a ninja backup but now i get this error: "Ninja files can't be restored since they would corrupt your installation."

Is there a way to uncompress the .ntbak file to recover my indicators? i have like 6 years of indicator development there ..

Thank you for your post,

Yes, it is still possible to manually restore the scripts.
To do this:

* Make a copy of the backup file to keep the original backup safe.
* Next rename the extension of the backup file to .zip.
* For example if there was a backup made today the file name would be 2014-12-16.ntbk. Rename this to 2014-12-16.zip.
* Next, open the .zip file and copy everything from the bin/Custom folder to:
* (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom
* After this compile any script in NinjaTrader

To compile a script:

* Open NinjaTrader
* From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
* Select any indicator and double click on it (we need only to open and compile one script to see all compile errors for all files)
* A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators

Let us know if you receive an error when compiling.
