    NinjaTrader Logo

    Hi, the NT logo on my desktop and task bar is corrupted as shown in the picture attached. Any help to solve this?

    Thank you for your post.

    Glad to assist. Often the path to the Task Bar icon can be reset via the properties, though I suggest instead replacing the icon. To do this, right click on the old task bar photo icon for NinjaTrader > Select unping from Taskbar. Once NinjaTrader is relaunched, replace via right clicking again.

    For the desktop icons, please repair the NinjaTrader installation in order to have NinjaTrader create a new shortcuts (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Right click on NinjaTrader 8 > Repair).

      Thank you Eric for your reply.

      I've already tried that but didn't work. The logo in the control panel is ok, only the shortcut on the desktop and taskbar is corrupted.

      Any other ideas?

        Hello,

        You may need to try either Uninstalling and reinstalling NinjaTrader, or rebuilding/resetting the icon cache in Windows.

        To uninstall/reinstall please see below:

        Thank you for your note.

        Please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader.

        Close all running applications.
        Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
        Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 7' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 7 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
        Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 7' folder if it exists
        Reboot your machine.
        Once these steps are completed, download and install NT7 from the link below.

          The logo problem is with the NT8. Is your reply suitable for the 8 version or just the NT7?

                Missing NT8 desktop icon

                This happened with my NT8 also. I was advised to delete the desktop NT8shortcut and go to C:>program files(x86)>Ninjatrader8>bin64. Scroll down to Ninjatrader.exe and right mouse click and select "Send to desktop" (create a shortcut).
                Worked for me.
