Cannot install NT7 latest version

    Cannot install NT7 latest version

    Got error "Failed to download Ninjatrader" when installing NT7 latest version: 7.0.1000.37 on both Win 7 and Windows Server 2016 which is my AWS EC2 instance. Win 10 is fine.

    Glad to assist, please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.


    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

    * Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    * Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    * Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    * Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      I don't think you can get any useful info from log or trace files. I got the error right after running "setup.exe", see screenshot.

            I had the same problem with version .36 (and i guess it will be the same for .37) when trying to download it from MS Azure instance (windows server 2012). So now I know it is the same problem on EC2 instance...

            Maybe some firewall issue? But on which side? Ours or NT side?

            My temp solution was to get the whole msi file (after setup went ok on my local WIN10 instance at home) and upload this file to my Azure instance.

                    If you cannot download NinjaTrader it is recommended that you write into PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com for further assistance.

                      For what it's worth... received the same "cannot download" error message. I rebooted and moved the setup(.)exe file from Downloads to my Desktop and the update completed successfully.
