Workspace and Handling Improvements

Hi, just wanted to leave some comments on possible improvements that may be considered for future updates.

1. Bugfix: When changing from any minute chart to a day chart and back to any minute chart the number of bars is set back to 5. Would be nice to retain the original value of the minute chart.

2. Improvement: Duplicating an entire window of charts rather than just single chart tabs would come handy sometimes.

3. Improvement: Duplicating tabs/charts WITH inserted strategies rather than blank charts would also speed up duplicating strategies across timeframes or instruments.

4. Improvement: Would it be possible to show the number of active/inserted strategies in the strategies tab of the main window (e.g. bottom right)? One could verify whether all strategies are still loaded after restart or any accidental shutdown of NT.

Thank you for your note.

For your first suggestion, it is reverting to 5 because the days to load preset value is set to 5. You can prevent this by changing the preset value for days to load for the minute period type. To do this, change the Minute days to load value in the Data Series window and then select "Preset Minute" and then select "Save". Now when switching to Daily and back to Minute, it will load your desired days to load value.

I will be forwarding your remaining suggestions to our development team as feature requests to be considered in an upcoming release of NinjaTrader. I will follow up with unique tracking ID's when they have been made available.
