    Cant link to FOREX.com

    I have been unable to link my FOREX.com account. I know that the password and username are correct. but I keep getting this error:

    Unable to log into GAIN API. Check user name and password. (Logon failed)

    I have restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the program and even downloaded Ninjatrader 7 to try and get it to link there instead but recieved the same error. Is it possibly a licence issue? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Glad to assist. To test, please go to Connections > Configure. Select your setup in the lower left, which will display its settings to the right.

    First, verify the Demo box is not selected. Next, please use the below connection guide to verify the correct Brand Code is set, which is determined by your account origin.

    Once this complete, press ok and test via Connections.

      Demo Box is not selected and I verified that my brand code is what it should be, however I am still unable to connect and I am still getting the same error message. could an issue be that my license key starts with @SIM? would that make it only allow demo accounts?

        Thank you for your reply, sorry to hear that didn't help. Due to the error, I suggest verifying your login with Forex.com, in addition to double check the account is currently enabled for use with NinjaTrader.

        If you still see the same, please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.


        Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

        * Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
        * Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        * Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
        * Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
