Setting Default Fibonacci Levels

Hi,

I am trying to set the default levels/colours etc of the Fibonacci retracement and extensions but cannot figure it out.

I have changed them individually and then also saved the settings but each new one placed on the chart reverts back to the original settings, so I am having to go in and change it each time I place a new one on my charts.

I have also saved my chart settings as a template and that works for the chart itself but none of the drawing tools.

Thanks for your post.

To set default levels/color you will need to create a default template for that drawing tool. The following steps will allow you to set the defaults for that drawing tool.

• Add the drawing object to your chart.
• Right- click the drawing object and select "Properties..."
• Set the properties how you would like them to be by default.
• At the bottom right of the Drawing Objects window click on template>save
• Name the template "Default". (This must be exact, no additional spaces or characters can be part of the template name for it to be set as default successfully).

Hi I must be missing something because I'm looking to do the same thing that PipTrendz is - configure defaults for one of the fibonacci drawing tools. When I access the properties for the object shown in the the screen capture - "Fibonacci extensions 12" - I don't find any options to set the levels shown, the associated colors, etc. Is there another path I should be following for these default properties? Thanks.

Thanks for posting to the forums.

These properties would be found in the Properties pane of the image you have attached under the "Levels" section by clicking on the "7 price levels" section and changing these level settings and the corresponding colors settings in the window that appears.

The template can then be saved with these modified levels.
