NT7 Center Price on Scale

Hello,

In NT8 there is a 'Center price on scale' option in the Data Series dialogue.

This is very helpful for me when scalp trading fast moving markets. I would like to be able to use this or some other feature like it in NT7, where my VPS for executing trades is located.

What is required for me without this 'Center price on scale' feature is this:

* I want to center the current price in the chart, so that I can stretch it vertically, to be able to make fast fine-tuned adjustments to my stop-loss and profit target when scalp trading.

So I grab the chart and while holding the Control key, I left-click and drag the chart down or up, to center it. Oftentimes there is a slow delayed action to this.

* Then I need to left-click in the right-edge of the chart and pull up to stretch it vertically. Again, oftentimes there is a slow delayed action to this.

* At that time I can then take ahold of my stop-loss and re-position it, if necessary. And/or I can then take ahold of my profit target and reposition it (if I want to take profits sooner or move my profit target further out).

But since it took me a few slow steps of trying to first center my chart and then stretch it vertically, oftentimes the price has moved quite a bit before I can finally act to do what I intended with my stop-loss and/or profit target.

I do not see a 'Center price on scale' option in the Data Series dialogue in NT7. So my question is, does it exist in NT7 and if not, is there any other way I can do what I am trying to do as outlined above?

This feature would not be available in NinjaTrader 7, as it is one of the enhancements in NinjaTrader 8. I'm happy to submit a feature request on your behalf to the Development Team to consider adding such a feature in a future release of NinjaTrader 7.

Thanks. I think the Cursor Gauge tool is more of what I am looking for, in addition to NT7 being able to center the price on the chart vertically (so that I can quickly stretch the chart vertically)

I just bought and installed your Cursor Gauge indicator. I like it, great job.

I think it would be a great improvement if you could have a checkbox that would allow the vertical Ticks line and box to center on the current price of the current price bar and to follow it up and down.

When the checkbox was checked, the indicator would not follow the users cursor, but instead would follow the current price and price bar.

I would be willing to pay an upgrade fee if you do end up updating the indicator to include that, as long as the fee is reasonable.

If you do upgrade it, please let me know.

CORRECTION: Regarding the feature request for your Cursor Gauge indicator, I was mistaken in what I would like.

Instead of the vertical Ticks line and box to center on the current price of the current price bar, I would like to have it remain where the user last clicked on the chart, if a checkbox was checked.

Maybe the user would need to Control > Click or Alt > Click or something, to place it on the chart.

In other words, I would like to see the progress that the price is making. If the vertical Ticks line and box was to follow the current price, then the progress that the current price is making would not be shown on the vertical Ticks line.

Please let me know if you do end up updating the indicator to include that.

I will look into changes as soon as I have some free time. I take seriously what my customers have to say about improvements and feature additions and many products have been changed because of that. Thanks for the suggestion.
