    Data feed issues with NT8

    Hello,

    I have two issues with the data feed.

    - Interactive Brokers stops every day the FOREX data feed from their servers at 11pm (spanish time). In NT7, when IB resumes their data feed 20 minutes later, everything continues to work normally. But, in NT8, your software stops working. I do not mean that the strategies stop working. I mean that NT8 is not collecting any data feed from the IB servers at all. The only way to resume the data feed for the strategies to continue working is to restart NT8. In NT7 I could leave the system working for the entire week but in NT8 I have to restart every day.

    - In NT8 the same strategies take much more time to load than in NT7. In my opinion it seems that NT7 is taking the data saved in the local computer while NT8 seems to load the data from IB servers every time. If there was a progress bar in NT8 I could confirm it. In both cases "Record live data as historical" is checked. Am I missing any setting in NT8?

    If it helps, in both cases I am connected through IBGateway

    Glad to assist. Can you please verify the version of Gateway in use via Help > About. I've also linked below our connection guide that offers the supported version and settings if needed.

    Regarding the charts, what instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

    (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      IBGateway version is 960.2g, Nov 21, 2016

      To check if the data is loading I use the order ticket and a 30 min chart with EURUSD instrument. I receive no errors. Data just stops

        Thank you for your reply and additional information.

        We will likely need to test this on our end at the noted time. Just to verify the Data Series settings are correct, can you please post a screen shot of this window (right click on the chart > Data Series)?

        Also, what time is NinjaTrader set to (Tools > Options > Time Zone).

        When logging into Gateway, select the lower left "More options" to verify the Local time/ time zone setting there as well.

          Data feed issues with NT8

          Time zone is UTC +1 for both, NT8 and IBGateway.

            So I may look into this further please go to Help->Email Support and be sure to include Attn: Chris Jameson in the Subject line, a link to this thread in the body and a check in the box for "Log and trace files".
