Cant close a Open Position on a SIM acct

    Hello,

I have a open position on a SIM account for the previous month Crude Oil contract Cl 3-18.

CL 3-18 is no longer being traded so its not moving. But on my positions tab it reflects that I have open position. Not too worried about since it is on a SIM account. It seems like its frozen and I cannot flatten it.

I have been trading the subsequent CL 4-18 contract on a NON-SIM and it seems to be acting correctly.

But I cannot flatten the previous CL-3-18 contract on SIM. How do I flatten the SIM position so it does not reflect on my positions tab in the control center.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your note.
We recommend that you reset your SIM 101 account.
Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from the sim101 account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account. (This can take longer depending on the size of your database file and your system.)

    NinjaTrader 7:

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools> Options> Simulator.
    Press the 'Reset' button.
If you do not want to lose your trade data, uncheck the 'Clear history' box (This must be left checked when wanting to remove a stuck sim order)

    NinjaTrader 8:

First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
