Custom Connection Creation

Hello Team,

How are you doing?

My Name is Venugopal and using Ninja Trader 8 which is new to me. by seeing the training videos that I have got some knowledge.based on that knowledge i am trying to create a custom connection using NinjaTrader.Core.dll. As per my knowledge that this new custom connection should visible in the connections list (menu>Connection>Configuration), but i am not getting that option in the connections list. May I know the process to get the new connection name in the list.

can I have the source for learning Ninja Trader 8 more in depth? Please mention those links or pdfs or Videos

Custom Application

Thank you NinjaTrader_ChrisSch,

I am writing the code in Visual Studio 2017and wrting the Custom Connection Code using C# language. which is accepting the connection URL, UserName as parameter. if I want to hook the same code in the Ninja Trader8 then will the NT8 tool works? in this way that i am accepting the help.

if I have Custom application developed in Visual Studio 2017, that I can import in NT8.
in my NT8 tool i have seen the "NT sample Adapter", please see the same in the screen shot attached.
how this sample adapter is coming in the connections list. can we do another new custom connection added to this connections list. if yes then what is the process?

Thank you for the post.

This type of development would be outside of what our support could assist with as there are no supported or documented ways to do this from NinjaScript at the moment. The connection technologies that I could assist with would be the platforms default adapters. I will put in a feature request for the ability to develop connection adapters in NinjaScript.
