IB with multiple accounts

I have 2 accounts with Interactive Brokers and when I connect to IB through TWS I'm only able to see 1 of the accounts - the one I don't want to trade at this time. Is there something I need to do to enable all accounts to be visible to NT?

I suspect that your Interactive Brokers accounts are setup as 'linked' accounts. Linked accounts are not supported in NinjaTrader 8.

What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

Are the two accounts you expect to see 'linked' accounts?

What type of account do you have at Interactive Brokers? Is it an indivudal account, linked account, or an FA (friends and family, financial advisor) account?

the IB accounts are linked, 1 is an IRA and the other is a margin account
both are individual accounts

Linked accounts are not supported in NinjaTrader 8. The options you have at this point are to reach out to Interactive Brokers and ask for one of the following:

• Unlink your accounts which should give you two sets of login credentials. You would then run two instances of TWS/Gateway to be able to connect these two accounts to NinjaTrader
• Change your account to an FA account. This will give you access to a 'master' account which can then place trades to 'sub-accounts'

Alternatively, you can use NinjaTrader 7 NinjaTrader 7 does support IB linked accounts.

If you have an advisor account with IB, you can login to the advisor account via the IB gateway and all your accounts will show up. It works with advisor accounts only. So you can see your regular account and your IRA account together. It works for me.
