problem with AC oscillator

the indicator seams to not work on bar close set to false

Hi tradereight, could you please explain the issue you have - if you compare different platforms and datafeeds, there can always be minor differences in calculated values.

accelerator

the problem with the accelerator is that it works fine on bar close but the second you turn on the on bar close false wrong values (a very large value) are plotted and safed to the chart, once you reload the chart all looks fine again.

give it a try on 2 min e-mini S&P charts and you will see.

other indicators like ATRtrailing also have this issue, so i just wanted to find out how we can prevent this from happening?

I have been trying this indicator on five charts for about a week and have not seen that problem.

These indicators were developed as 3rd party indicators and are provided as is. Significant testing has not been placed into it since I dropped the Bill Williams project.

is there a way to tell a strategy to set the stop to the 2nd last fractal?
i coded a trailing strategy that is using

if(Lvls>=period*2)
set longStop = High[2];

if (Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Long
ExitLongStop(longStop, "exit", "long");

however i would like to use the 2nd last fractal not the last one as my stop?

I do not remember how I coded the Fractals. I do not think I saved out the locations of fractals so you probably cannot access the historical fractals.

I have no idea of how to get this indicator into NJTrader :-(
could you give a "newbie" some brief instructions ?
Do I just "import" the file.. OR are script modifications necessary?

No. I am a simple member of that forum. I have paid my membership fee a few years ago and have no other financial relationship with Mike.

Further more, I am not developing indicators for Big Mike, but I am posting my indicators there. Many of the indicators are based on input or suggestions from other members of the forum.

If you cannot afford to pay for an elite membership, you can contact me directly, and I will send you the indicators via e-mail. I will only send indicators that I have coded myself, but not distribute indicators from other members of the forum.

The indicators require maintenance and updates. It is simply too much work to post them twice. I am talking about something like 150 indicators. There are more coders at Big Mike's, and it is easier for me to exchange ideas. This forum is mostly frequented by users who seek support. Many of them are beginners. The noise-to-gain ratio is much higher here.

As I have already mentioned, quite a few of my indicators are based on ideas of other traders. Also, for me it is simply more beneficial to post them at Big Mike's, as I get qualified feedback for further improvement.

The NinjaTrader forum basically is not a trading forum, but a support forum. Competing trading forums of Big Mike's are Elite Trader, Trade2Win and Trader's Laboratory. You might also ask me, why I do not post in all of those, you may also ask me why I do not code for MultiCharts, TradeStation or MetaTrader. The answer would be the same - it is too much work.
