Time Frame Grouping

Hello,

is it possible to view Different Time Frames for one Currenc Pair

example: on single EUR/USD chart : i would like to View 5Min and 1Min Price action.

is it possible in NinjaTrader8 ?

Thanks for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums.

Yes, you can have multiple data series added to any chart.

In an existing chart, on the chart, right mouse click and select "data series...". In the dataseries window, at the top select again the same (or other) instrument. Once added you can change value to 5 minute or any preferred time frame.

i would like to view 5min &1min on the same chart not underneath one another.

i have chosen 1Min as the main chart , now i would like to view 5Min price action in the background of 1min chart.

Thanks for your reply.

Based on the video provided, in the data series window for the second data series ensure that you set the row "Panel" from "new Panel" to "1" which will place the 5 minute series in the same panel as the 1 minute series.

You may want to change the colors of the 5 minute candles to more easily view them when blended with the 1 minute. You also may find a better view by changing the 5 minute "chart style" from "candlestick" to "Box". The "box" style will then contain all of the 1 minute candles.
