Chart taking a long time to load

Has anyone hit this issue before?

I have a chart with some standard ninja indicators and a simple custom indicator loaded.

It takes between 1 & 3 minutes to load on a 1 minute chart.
It takes 3-6 seconds to load if I change it to a 60 second chart.

No changes to any other settings.

I am running 6.5.

Any thoughts?

1.) Which data provider are you using with NinjaTrader?

2.) How many days of historical data are you loading in your minute chart?

I'm using Zen Fire on a 1 day 1 minute chart.

I have checked this with 3 other traders who use the same indicators and all have reported the same incidence. We are now all on 60 second charts.

But it would be good to know why the difference.

Thank you for the clarification.

Interestingly, I am not seeing any differences in load times between the minute and the second chart on my end.

Just to confirm, the 60 second chart is also requesting 1 day of historical data, correct?

Yep Kyle, they are both running with 1 day.

It seems OK with only standard Ninja indicators. So I think the difference is in the custom indicator.

But the curious thing is why the delay is only on the 1minute chart cos it runs fine on the 60 second, we tried it on the 60 minute, 15 minute, various volume charts and all worked fine but on the minute chart it dies.

Sorry for the delay in replying, i was in a live trade.

PS the custom simply paints 2 sets of MACD with different set ups in the one panel.

Sure Kyle, I'll have to do it as a protected DLL as it has propriety stuff in it. Can I do that later on as I am trading live at the moment. (should get it to you sometime later on today)

I did a minor unrelated change to the custom script and it seemed to resolve it or at least I cannot reproduce the problem.

Change was just to declare the dataseries for the plots as properties and not use the default Value[0], Value[1] etc.

Don't see why it should have made a difference but it did.
