    Indicator List Issue

    Hi,

    I had an indicator that compiled and ran. I deleted the indicator, however, the indicator still appears in my Indicator list and I can still add it to my chart even though it no longer exists in the indicators folder and cannot be brought up for editing.

    Any explanations for this odd behaviour?

    Hello.

    Thanks for the note.

    Please first recompile any indicator or restart NinjaTrader and check again. You may also look for the script under ..\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Indicators.

    It is also possible that the indicator is named differently, in that case, go to your file explorer under the directory mentioned above and use the search function to search for the name of the indicator, the file could be named differently but the class could still be named the same.

      Hi Chris,
      I have done all this before I wrote. The issue is elsewhere.The indicator sits inside a folder in the NinjaTrader.NinjaScript.Indicators namespace. Clearly the indicators inside the folder are not being updated by NT.

            Hello.

            We were able to determine the indicator was, in fact, the new instance of the script. The issue was that the indicator settings were saved as a default, causing a string public property to be saved to the UI.xaml file. Clicking "Restore" cleared the issue.
