'Failed to retrieve data from Google' only for particular instruments

Hello,

I am using NT8 (8.0.7.0) and trying to build Google-based charts for Bovespa instruments. However, for any Bovespa instrument I have tried so far I got the error "Error on requesting bar series: 'Failed to retrieve data from Google'".

Please notice that:

- data retrieval for new charts using other pre-installed instruments (e.g., those in the SP 500 list) works and charts are loaded without any problem

- data retrieval does not work even for the preinstalled Bovespa instruments (e.g., PETR4 and PETR3)

Any suggestions or ideas on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Rafael,

I was able to load historical data as follows.

Please go to Control Center-->Instruments and double click the PETR3 stock.

Disable the Bovespa exchange and leave the Default exchange enabled.

Change the symbol map from PETR3 to BVMF:PETR3 in the Google field.

Click Apply and then OK.

Create a new PETR3 daily chart and check if data is loaded.

Please setup other Bovespa stocks the same and check if you load historical data.

Please send us your log and trace files so that we can investigate this item further.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

error loading data chart

Hello Jason, from Argentina I have the same problem with BCBA. I'm connected from google and it does not let me load chart. I get the following error:
"error on loading chart data for" bolt default ": failed to retrieve data from google."
I hope you can help me.

The Google connection is not currently functioning. The Development Team is currently investigating this. The tracking number is 12641. I'll update this thread when there is any information.

Unfortunately for now it will not be possible to obtain any data from Google in NinjaTrader.

Unfortunately you'll need to find an alternate data feed as Google has discontinued the service than NinjaTrader used to pull data. I believe eSignal or Interactive Brokers would be supported data providers who may supply the data you're looking for, however, you'll need to check with them directly.

Its really sad that we don't have anything which supports EOD or Live Data for free now. I have used Ninjatrader for a very long time and now i couldn't be able to use it anymore i guess.

Please do something to add connection of Google or Yahoo with updated data source.

What you suggested are not for retails small trader. They are big financial firms and don't accept small accounts for Trading.

So one and only suggestion is to provide us Realtime and EOD feed from Google or Yahoo or something else which is free. So that we can continue with NT .
