Genetic optimizer - minimum performance input
I looked at the NT helpguide and the description given in Strategy Analyzer, but I'm still confused as to what exactly the "minimum performance" input in the GO does. What exactly does the number I input represent?Tags: None

StockStalker, based on the performance criterion chosen you can exclude here solutions found that would not match or exceed your desired minimum. So for example if you optimize on Profit Factor and the GA would present a solution as optimal with a PF of 1.3 but you set a minimum here of 2 >> it would not regarded as solution. Per default it's at 0, so nothing is discarded.BertrandNinjaTrader Customer Service

Okay that makes sense. So if I optimize on Net Long profit and set the number to, say, 10000, it wont give me results below $10000? am i understanding correct?
Thanks

This value sets whether the GA will continue testing after the minimum has been reached. Basically -- if you got the results you're looking for, then it won't test further.
If this performance value is reached before all generations are evaluated the optimizer will end and present results immediately. Value of 0 means no minimum performance is in use.Ryan M.NinjaTrader Customer Service
