Strategy Analyzer window loses focus, Ninjascript Editor takes focus

Hey guys -

I'm reporting a bug I found while working in Strat Analyzer and attempting to save my Templates. If you have a maximized Strat Analyzer window and a maximized Ninjascript Editor window and change Workspaces, when it returns to the Strat Analyzer, it loses focus on any sub windows.

Steps to duplicate:
1. On Workspace 1, open Ninjascript Editor and open a script. Maximize the window.
2. On Workspace 1, open Strat Analyzer and Maximize the window.
3. Save Workspace 1. Create new Workspace 2.
4. On Workspace 2, create a new chart and Maximize the window.
5. Save Workspace 2.
6. Switch back to Workspace 1.
7. Go to Strat Analyzer and attempt to save a Template.
8. Ninjatrader will switch back to the Ninjascript Editor and the Save As dialog window is hidden.

Thank you for the post.

I have tried these steps quite a few times today but have been unable to reproduce what you have described at this point. I will continue to test these and similar steps to see if I can have this reproduce in some way for me. I do know of what you are describing as I have also seen this happen for me randomly, but I have also not been able to find a way that is reproducible on multiple systems that can be relayed to development.

If I have further success with these steps on any test system, I will reply back here to let you know and also provide any tracking number for the report.

Like you mentioned, the error just went away by itself and it's working normally at this second.
I've seen this error so many times that I know it will return. Sometime, while I'll be working in this same configuration and switching between my Chart, Script and Strat Analyzer, it's going to happen again.

Hi, I think I've found the problem. Here are the steps to duplicate:

1. On Workspace 1, open Ninjascript Editor and open a script. Maximize the window.
2. On Workspace 1, open Strat Analyzer and Maximize the window.
3. Go back to the Ninjascript Editor with your open script.
4. Ctrl - F to bring up the Find/Replace window and plug in some values and replace all.
5. Compile your script.
6. Go back to Strat Analyzer and select your script from the drop down.
7. Template | Save and OK.
8. Notice that it switches back to the Ninjascript Editor as soon as you save.

While I wasn't able to see the NinjaScript editor steal focus to cover the menu, I was able to see it regain focus unexpectedly after saving the template like you mentioned. I think this should be a good first step to reporting this, if development needs further details or can't reproduce this I will reply back here to see if we can find something else as well.

Ok, in case they need it, here's a video that shows what's happening when I follow the previous steps. You can see the Ninjascript Editor window keep taking focus when I hit Cancel while I'm still in Strat Analyzer.
